Hi everyone so I have asked the community what is the best gaming PC currently. So, I went out and ordered all the parts but the problem is I don't know what displays to get. I was thinking about getting 3 4k monitors but then I thought about it and realized that is a lot of pixels. So, I am here asking you guys if it is possible to game on 3 4k monitors playing Battlefield 4 Maxed Out with a playable FPS.

Thanks

BF4 maxed out absolutely not, there just isn't a fast enough setup to realistically do that. 12K is do-able, but you are going to need a hell of a set-up and be prepared to drop settings quite alot.

Realistically, you'd want 3 way 780/Ti's. To my knowledge, the new hardware frame pacing thing AMD has done on the 290/X still doesn't work on multimonitor.

Nope.. I doubt even a GTX 780 Ti would be able to handle that maxed out.
But, its probabbly possible if you put 2 or 3 in sli...

the 4k monitors alone are crazy expensive, you can buy a 65" 4k samsung for almost the same price( well about double the price)
realistically an overclocked high end i7 with 3-4 titans/ 780tis /290xs should be able to do it

12K spread on 3 Monitors will look different than on a single monitor.
I would honestly rather have 1 really good looking monitor than playing with those bezels. One 2560x1600 or one 2560x1440 >>> Triple monitor 1080p.

very true or even a single 4k monitor would be more than enough for my needs.

Yea I thought the current 60Hz 4k monitors had to treat the panel as 2 separate 30Hz halves? So its still not a truly viable high speed gaming option.

Hopefully Asus will be releasing this soon.

@MrSuperSnake, that is a huge resolution. I don't even think three 780Ti's (in SLI) will do very well with what you want from them. I'd suggest 3x 1440p, a single 4K monitor, or even more achievable, 3x 1080p as a display. (In order of most to least pixels.)

personally, i would not (or rather could not) buy these until they go mainstream. $1000 for a monitor?? Well let's say that the monitor is free, but this also means you have to have a very good setup to be able to run a consistent >60fps which would increase the cost even more

This thread is getting very old, but now it actually could be possible. 3x 4k monitors and 2-3 Titan Black GPUs and you would still be getting pretty good frame rates. 2 Titan Zs will provide even more fps.

Triple 4K monitors?? No current SLI setup would have the power to run any modern games on decent settings at 3x4K.
