Will a motherboard like the ASUS Maximus VI Formula be compatible with CPUs like these

http://www.techpowerup.com/cpudb/index.php?mfgr%5B%5D=intel&class%5B%5D=server&released%5B%5D=y11_c&logo=&nCores=&process=22&socket=Intel+Socket+1150&codename=&multi=&sort=released&q=or+type+to+Search...

Will the CPU be limited to dual channel? or will the motherboard be able to do quad channel if the CPU can? I feel like it would only do dual channel if it would even work at all.

Some consumer motherboards support Xeon microprocessors but most do not. You must look at the motherboard manual to be certain.

As for the number of memory channels, that's a function of the socket.

LGA-2011 supports 4 channels

LGA-1366 and LGA-1356 support 3...

LGA-1156, LGA-1155, and LGA-1150 support 2 channels

You of course need to purchase a microprocessor and motherboard with matching socket specifications.
