Installed a Kingston SSDnow300 240gb harddrive following the instructions suggested by TH user Hoku in this thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/291675-32-435mt-general-install-advice-sata-controller

No matter what I have tried, however, I cannot get my old western digital to read on the OS. It is recognized in the BIOS but after that there is no sign of the drive on my system. If anyone has any ideas of what I could do I'm all ears.

I did not purchase a SATA card. I was under the impression that the Mobo has 4 SATA slots which would not require additional hardware. I wound up rolling back the system to its previous state with my Acronis image after not being able to get the SSD involved. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to wait until I build a new rig since it seems nearly impossible to get the HD to read with this Dell mobo
