Can you have too much of a PSU? can having too much harm the pc?
Reason i ask is that i was planning on buying the Corsair CX500M ( $39,99)but came across the Corsair CX 750M for 49,99 ( after rebate).
I mean another 250 watts for $10,00 cant be bad ,can it.

No problem. The wattage spec is simply what it can provide. Watts to electricity is like horsepower to engines. You only use what you need.

The CX750 for only $10 more than the CX500 is a good deal. It'll give you more flexibility in the future. The wattage rating is a max amount but you computer will only drew what it needs. I aways have had good luck on getting Corsair rebates.
