I have looked at a lot of threads to try and find a fix for this but have not found much.

I built my PC following this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh455l3348s) and everything seems to be in place and working. I turn it on and everything is running all the fans and the outer PC light. But my monitor does nothing and my PC will stay on until I turn it off, I suspect there is something supposed to be plugged into JBAT1 on my motherboard but I'm not exactly sure because this is my first time building a PC.

Here are my specs:
Motherboard - MSI H61M-P31 (G3)
Power Supply - Thermaltake TR2 600W ATX 12V 2.3
CPU/Processor - Intel Pentium G860 3GHz 3MB Cache
Graphics Card - XFX Radeon HD 7770

*If anything else is needed please ask.

I have been using the cable that came with the monitor, I'm pretty sure it is VGA because it doesn't fit in my graphics card only the monitor slot on the outside & back of the computer. Where on the mobo do you want me to put it in.

Sounds like you are using the vga cable and mobo video output. You only plug jumpers into jbat1 if you want to clear the BIOS. normally nothing is plugged there. When you turn on the computer do you hear and post or windows starting?

I figured out the issue. I was provided a bad cable and no adapter for my graphics card. So all I needed to do was use an adapter and plug the VGA cable into my GPU but I think my mobo fried after being fixed. So I just let the professionals do it. It's all good, thanks guys!
