Looking to answer 2 questions. Is higher memory on your graphics card better for gaming. And what is the memory necessary to play Starcraft 2 on max settings? (Not the bare minumum but the safe amount)

More about : 4gb 2gb gaming

4 GB will see you right for all your gaming needs. 2 GB is doable but 4 GB is the sweet spot. Some games are now pushing 3-4 GB but there are not any that will currently benefit from 8 GB.

4GB is for high resolution or multi monitor displays. 2GB is plenty for SC2 at 1080p

Memory in graphics card is different from the memory from RAM. Some graphics card have higher mmory but not all is being used so i must say 2gb is good enough for Graphics card. In terms of ram the safest would be 4gb

You need to reread his post. He asked about memory on a GRAPHICS CARD. Not SYSTEM memory. (And 8 GB is the sweet spot for system memory anyway, not 4GB. 4GB system memory is the minimum for decent gaming)

2GB of DDR5 on the gpu is fine for 1080 gaming, and it's hard to find more unless you move to the highest end gpus.

True. For some reason I did not pick that up. Anyway the world is still spinning on its axis.
