Code:
I am trying to install a adus z87-a into this per build case and the motherboard I took out didn't have standoffs. But it did have 2 small pads on the bottom. That mobo I took out was a a uatx but my mobo is not, also the case is at. The case I have now has raised bumps, 8 of them I think, are those the built in stand offs?

If all else fails is it safe to just use my mobo outside the case for 2 weeks?

For an ATX board (The Z87-A is ATX), there should be 9 bumps (or standoffs).
All the screw holes need to line up. Don't worry, they will if you are fitting it in right.
The board is supposed to be grounded against the standoffs (case bumps) and no bits that stick out on the bottom of the board should be able to touch the case.

But to be sure, does the MB fit into the I/O shield perfectly aligned when resting on the bumps, or does it need to be raised further?

Although you can run the board outside the case, there would be more risk than running it properly installed.

Okay there is the pic of the case, and the mobo fits into the shield perfectly but I can only get 1 screw to line up on the mono with the case so I was worried. But I am fine just having 1 screw in if it doesnnf matter. I provably should have mention I had to take out my disc drive so the atx mobo would fit, even though the case is atx

What risks are there having my mobo out of the case for 2 weeks? Is it just bumping or spilling something on it? Cause that Wong happen

Okay I figured out how to get 4 screws lined up but the top 2 won't because the mono is too big, will it short out if I just ignore the top 2, I don't THINK tgd mono is touching the case at the top but idk. If I can put my finger on there or see its off the cade s little it should be safe... right?

Okay well I can't use this case but can I just leave everything in the case and have the mobo outside the case and put the mobo in top of the box it came in/ cardboard? It would only be for 2-4 weeks. Will the board short out?
