I decided to use the hp drivers for my graphics cards due to the amd site ones not displaying the correct name for my card. After installing i checked 3dmark and got my best score yet. Excited, i hop into lol in a custom game to check my fps and it drops to 7 fps. WHY? It runs everything outside of games fine, but seems to not even use my cards when i get in game.

Added teh site ones, problem persistes, restarted, still there, scrubbed it and reinstalled from site working but unstable

NOT for laptops. Laptop video hardware is supported by the laptop vendor and in most cases the reference ones from the chip maker either don't work or crash.

I was assuming we were talking about a desktop. I really don't know what we are talking about because no details were given that's why I was asking what kind of CPU and GPU.

Odd, I could have sworn I read that this was a laptop in the post. Maybe it was the fact that he said it was not displaying the correct name, which can happen if you use AMD base drivers on a mobile card.

Laptop
Amd a8 5550 processor
amd radeon 8750m 8550g dual graphics

The Laptop vendors drivers are the ones that seem to turn off my gpus when i load a game. They did get better marks in 3dmark, and seemed to run smoother.

Create a custom profile for the game in the video drivers. It should give you an option to configure a specific game to use the full video power. Although the laptop I use has nVidia video, I can go and configure the GPU use for each program as it starts if I want to. I don't see AMD video option being that much different.

i have uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers so many times so my profiles are gone. I dont even rememeber how to create the profiles anymore. Also would it even help if the drivers seem set on putting all the work on my cpu when i start a game.
