Just bought this desktop last week

Lenovo H535 Desktop PC
•AMD A10-5700 Processor
•8GB DDR3 Installed Memory
•1TB Hard Drive
•Integrated AMD Raedon™ HD 7660D Graphics
•DVD+/RW drive
•6 in 1 Card reader, supports (SD, SDHC, MS, MS Pro, MM, MMC plus)
•802.11 b/g/n
•Windows 8
•Dimensions: 14.49"(H) x 16.93"(L) x 6.89" (W) (17.63 lbs.)
•1 Year warranty

Tonight, i went ahead upgrade the stock PSU to CX500M
and stock dvd drive to Blu-ray drive

My computer is slower after i upgraded to the new(better) PSU and Blu-ray drive.

I dont see the blu-ray drive being the problem here.

Can the new PSU cause the computer to slow down?
For example, when i click on an icon, the computer will stop for a second or two before working again.

I did noted that the ATX 12V was 4pin on the MB, and the stock PSU come with 4pin and the new corsair come with the 8pin. Not sure if that would cause the computer to slow down.

This computer is new, i only boot up once before i replace/upgrade the PSU.

thanks for the help

You will need to connect half of the corsair 8 pin cpu connector to the motherboard 4 pin cpu connector for proper operation.
It should be keyed to fit only one way with the extra 4 pins left unconnected.
