I don't even know if I should post this here, but I'm going to because I don't know what else to do, please forgive me if I'm not supposed to.

I bought a Logitech G600 and I downloaded the required software known as Logitech Gaming Software, but it didn't recognize my mouse. So after some googling I went into Device Manager and found what I think is the mouse, under Other Devices, is an Unknown Device. I tried to Update Driver Software and selected the Logitech Gaming Software, but it said Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device. It said at the bottom of the message Access denied. Anyone know what to do?

"Unknown Device" means that the driver for that device isn't installed, so your attempt to install the Logitech mouse software (which includes the driver) was unsuccessful (but I guess you already knew that much).

Try right-clicking the Logitech software installation/setup file, then left-click "Run as Administrator".
