Hello everyone, I recently purchased a msi gtx 760 twin frozr 4gb gpu to upgrade my EVGA gtx 460 GPU. After switching my cards and having my first start up I came across problems. (what a surprise) I will be honest and say that I forgot to uninstall my 460 driver updates before I switched cards but something serious is happening to my pc. The start up is taking very long, and it will not shut down unless I manually shut it down, and almost every application I try to open wont open up. This is very frustrating and I can't figure it out. IF you have any ideas to resolve this problem I would love to hear it, and yes I updates the 760's drivers and got ride of the 460's my pc should easily be able to run this card also so at this point i'm clueless.

Thank you everyone for your time! I really appreciate it! :]

PC Build:

Solution
Plug back your GTX 460. Go into windows as normally and install new drivers. Before installing, make sure you check mark the "Fresh Install" box on NVidia Experience. Shut down pc and disconnect your PSU so that the mobo goes off and plug in your new card. Afterwards, you should be all set!

This is happens because your system it's waiting to get signal from a certain card, in this case your old card. Now upgrading to the new one, it does not recognize the new one. For future reference, try plugin in your card in another slot other than the one you particularly use.
