So my SeaSonic SS-650HT exploded yesterday, barely reaching it's first year. One of my theory is that the unstable power source in this city/or my rent is the cause for this, so I'll be getting a stabilizer as well.

My Specs are:
ASRock H77M
Asus HD7850 2GB
i5-3470
1TB WD HDD

The SeaSonic with 650w was overkill I know. It was the recommendation of the IT dude who made me change from the Corsair 550watt(I forgot which type) that I got recommendation from here.
I'm basically looking for the best 550watt that is durable(I'd get 650watt again but I need to save money for a new casing and some fans). I want something that can last me at least half of what the PSU is meant to last. They say a good PSU is suppose to last you 10-15 years but I guess I was unlucky.

So can anyone recommend me a 550-600watt PSU that is durable, friendly price, Gold Certified atleast, and is perfect for my rig? I prefer to not buy SeaSonic again but I'd reconsider using them if it's the most durable and has a friendly price(Less than 100$?)

EDIT:

This one looks legit.

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM

NVM this, there are a lot of bad reviews in the comment section. I guess like I said I'd prefer to not get SeaSonic as I don't want it exploding on me again.

Any other PSU that can compare to this?

EDIT2:

Any thoughts on this?

Between the 650TX and RM550 which one should work best on my PC? I don't think my PC even reaches 500watts intake, so should I go for a better performance(RM550) or one that has more room(650TX)? Also like I said, I'd prefer to get a gold certified PSU because I don't want to load my roommate with electric bills.

Also between the RM550 and Antec TP-550C(fairly new, can't find decent reviews) should I spend a bit more on the RM550 or would the Antec be enough? Since I could spend the money on others parts of my PC.

I'm planning to:

Change my casing to CM N200
Add 4x 120mm Corsair Quiet Edition Fans
Change my CPU Fan to CM 212 Evo

I'm not sure what to look in PSU's but rely on you guys if they would fit on my current and upcoming rig?

I'd absolutely go with the RM550.

Okay so it all comes down to this two

Corsair CS550M - 99.99$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Corsair RM550 - 110$
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

10$ difference? Maybe in the USA, definitely not here. On my local store there is a 25$ difference between those two. I could easily add a few more bucks into those 25$ and get my self a dual pack AF120 fans, and that's 2 checklists on my to do list. Both are gold certified and the CS is basically newer. I can't really find what's better in the RM550 rather than it's much quieter and has a bigger fan. I would like to really go for the CS instead of the RM but I'm not in a rush to get a new PSU just yet. If anyone has other recommendations(obviously other than SeaSonic products)or strongly suggest the RM over CS, please do tell.

Why would you buy another PSU in the first place? Seasonic products are entitled with 5 year warranty mate. But for that price range here are my picks:

Seasonic M12II 620w
FSP Raider 650w
FSP Aurum 550w

Seasonic makes a lot of Corsairs psu's :-) You should just get the one you have RMA'd. Seasonic didnt come by their reputation by accident, and are one of if not THE best psu maker.

I'd go RM, it's got a longer warranty, usually signifying higher quality build components.

How about the Seasonic G550? its gold 80plus, and modular.

I asked the official SeaSonic web they asked to export my transport PSU a trip through the world for RMA. That's kind of crazy, and imagine the time it would take. So I'm looking for a PSU that won't go bad easy since getting an RMA is just kind of stupid in my part of the world.

Plus a simple google search shows me that SeaSonic's PSUs tends to explode more often than Corsair's does. It may be the best but if there are many factory defects I'd rather not have another go with it.

You mean the one I posted first? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Proven by the vast amount of negative comments in Newegg, I'd rather not have a go.

I'll go to the electronic mall(20th of dec hopefully) and if I can find a realistic price(10$ difference) I'd definitely go with the RM version. And if Corsair have to make me RMA the PSU all the way to USA too I'm guessing having a 1 day warranty don't even make any difference to me.
