I play FPS games like Counter Strike GO. Looking for an FPS boost. Thinking of upgrading my Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 3600MHz.

I don't want to buy too much of a card and have it bottlenecked by the rest of the PC.

My PC specs are:

THERMALRIGHT, Ultra-120 eXtreme 1366 RT CPU Cooler, Socket 1366, Aluminum

Upgrading to a new card won't bottleneck your current system, the nice thing about the video card is that if you do choose to upgrade your PC at a later date you can buy a pc with built in video and then you can take whatever video card you end up buying and put it in the new system.
What I would suggest is checking the costs of cards since there is usually a spot where the price drops significantly for only a slightly older card that performs almost as good as the newer much pricier.
