Recommendation for $1500 PC build

I am planning to buy a PC for about $1500. I'm mostly interested in gaming. The build would exclude monitor and accessories.
I'm kind of an Intel fan. I would prefer a quiet PC (nvidia > amd) since I sleep in the same room. I will buy most parts (the more expensive ones) through Amazon International since the prices in the markets here are outrageous, which sadly translates into Amazon International not offering a lot of choices other than mainstream ones.

- I currently have a 1080p monitor.
- I'm not planning on frequently upgrading the PC after purchase.

On a side note: comparing graphics, is there much difference between EVGA and Gigabyte for the selected choice?

I appreciate your help.

Same build I have...I went through alot of returning/testing/research to get this build just right. 3 cases, 2 graphics cards, 3 motherboards, 2 hdds later. This was the final product, and its amazing..I dont think I could have done any better. I cant hear it from 5 feet away even under intense gaming and the whole thing stays cool. If you do end up getting this exact build the only thing to do is flash the evga gtx 780 with the gigabyte bios so you can lower the fan speed past the threshold in precisionX and lock it at a inaudible speed (simple stuff) message me when you get it if youd like to know.

4670k will be good for gaming, if you wan't you can stretch up for 4770k.
EVGA Gtx 780ti for that budget.
8 gig ram will smply do the job.
get a silver to gold psu.
A 2 tb hdd if needed.
even an ssd, if needed.
Get a decent motherboard considering the remaining amount.
If you still think some money if left, you can upgrade your ram to 12 gb (8 gb will simply be enough).

No need for a high end card like the 780 ti for 1080p. Save 200 and get a 780, which will destroy games at 1080p. A 770/280x would also be more than enough for 1080p. In 2 years you will need to upgrade the gpu anyway if you want to stay somewhat with the newer tech.

Thanks for the replies. Really appreciate it.
Regarding 780ti, it seems a bit beyond my expected price. I'm even thinking about going 770.
However, I might just get the 780 and upgrade my monitor as well.

Jgriff: this seems like a really nice build, I might take you over your offer. Thanks!
