I recently over clocked my i5-4670k to 4.4 ghz 1.150v (4.2ghz at 1.05v), which is pretty darn good. At least I think it is. now heres the tricky part, I have a newly bought antec 1250 which is a dual pump with big radiator, idles around 28C; however when i run prime95/aida64 it often jumps to 80-90 degrees while most of the time runs in 75ish.

As i read online, most people would get 75-80 max temp with almost 1.25-1.3 voltage on cpu, why am I getting such heat production with such low voltage. Especially considering my water-cooling is as productive as corsair h100i. oh and i reapplied mx-4 using the pea method

any suggestions?
thanks in advance

Additional heat comes into play if you're overclocking the CPUs memory controller, so what speed memory are you running? Any speed past 1600mhz is overclocking the controller and adding heat to the load temperature.
