Hello everyone i have a bit of a problem and am hoping someone can lend me their knowledge. I need to have my computer send the video signal out through the motherboard's HDMI port and not the graphics card's HDMI port f that is possible. I need to do this because i sold my GTX 660 on ebay to help pay for a 280X i just bought on newegg today and the GTX has to be shipped tomorrow and the R9 280X will not be here for at least a few days.

I have tried simply plugging my monitor (50' Panasonic s60) into the MOBO inplace of the graphics card and i get no video signal to my monitor.

I have also looked in my UEFI BIOS and i cannot find anything but i may have missed it. My mobo is a MSI Z87-G45 if that helps at all.

I sincerely appreciate any help i get so if you have any ideas please let me know :).

Depending on your motherboard, there may or may not be a setting in BIOS to enable on-board graphics while a discrete graphics card is installed, but the easiest way to enable on-board graphics is to simply uninstall the discrete card.

Glad to be of help! :wahoo:
