I just installed an AMD FX-8350 & my MOBO is Asus M5A97 LE R2.0, and I used the stock cpu fan/heatsink. My CPU Temperature is always at 50-58 degree celcius, Is this going to decrease life span? Also, I hear the fan sound A LOT, and I've noticed that the fan runs really slow until the cpu gets to 50 and then speeds up. Is there anyway I can make it run faster at ALL times to keep me cpu at around 20-30 degrees?

Additional Question:

1. Do i need to apply Thermal paste?
2. Shall i go for aftermarket heatsink (Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO Cooling Fan).

Thanks you.

Its fine please dont worry, but getting a Noctua - L9 which is really cheap and has high quality paste for about 20$ you can reduce the noise and temps.

Even 80c is normal for a CPU ;) , but for the sound and temps for cheap id go with the one mentioned here.

If you applied the sink and there was no thermal paste on it already, there is your main problem. Adjust the minimum cpu fan speed to 1000 revs might ease the on full speed and off again nuisance.

The sink came with some kind of Silicon paste or i don't know what it was , and can you help me how to miniumum the cpu fan speed to 1000revs?

I vote not to worry.
I would start to worry at 60 Degrees.

However, I'm probably not going to stop you worrying, so, I think you should change your CPU's thermal paste and buy a better CPU cooler.

I recommend the MX-4 for a thermal paste, and cooler master CPU coolers are pretty decent.
