Hey guys, me again.
I been asking for quite some time now and got this build:
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1886363/final-build-assistance-request.html

But I am too tight on the budget and I was considering to buy the FX6350 instead of the FX8350, since that is at LEAST €50 cheaper..

What I want to ask, is the difference in gaming really that much?
The FX6350 runs at only 0.1Ghz lower (Will OC anyway) and all newest games don't even use more then 6 cores...

So SHOULD I buy the FX6350 since I am too high on my budget?

Thanks in advance guys,
Mike.

(Also: What is the safe temp for the FX6350?)

Solution
honestly in case you have plans for an OC you should go in for the FX 6300 or the 8320 because they are the best you can get for overclocking.

When it comes down to gaming performance, there is hardly a noticeable difference. All games these days are much more GPU intensive and you wouldnt have too much of a draw back using a hexa-core instead of the 8 series octa-cores.

Although the 8350 is a little better than the 6350 or the 6300 in terms of sheer performance... it is needless to say that the 6300 or the 8320 will do you a great job when it comes down to gaming. and yes in case you do plan on streaming i would suggest you get the 8320 over the 6300 or 6350cuz trust me when I say the extra 2 cores come in handy.

SO FINALLY:

you...

If you are way above your budget, get the 6320. There is no reason to get the 6350 except if you cannot OC. The 6320 is basically an under-clocked 6350 and the 6320 comes in cheaper. The gaming difference won't be a lot because, as u mentioned, most games don't use more than 6 cores.

Hey man,

I looked into it, but I would prefer the FX6350. The $60 off of it, is all I need to buy the new build :)
But what is the safe temp it is allowed? 62c or 72c?

you can go get yourself an 8320,6300 or a 6350 and be pretty confidant about your gaming requirements being handled
(My personal suggestion is to go in for an 8320 cuz god knows when you might just start streaming.... not to mention is OCs like an animal!!)
