]So I am building my first rig....after weeks of research and help from friends this is my setup...the only thing i am not sure about is the GPU I am confused between the MSI 770 4gb vs 760 vs r9 280x toxic which seems badass, the other thing which think is good enough is the case but you can tell me what you guys think is best but don't want high prices...

Thanks in advance

depending on your preference (amd and nvidia) get the 280x or the 770 (assuming the msi is the twin cooler version and not the reference design).

Yes I meant the MSI Twin Frozer. I really don't want to start the Nvidia vs AMD war lol. Although I don't really care...I was going to get Nvidia but AMD is cheaper a little better in fps than reference 770 and will support Mantle for the future.

you said it yourself. compared to the reference 770. since they are both custom design and factory oc it's really the same performance. they trade blows depending on game btw. so look for the performance of each in your favorite titles:

edit: regarding your mantle reference i for one refuse to evaluate stuff based on what will be added.

and btw, i'm not an nvidia fan, i like amd's better but i still think their mantle campaign is rubbish. they should have waited for the games to come out and only after it enable the mantle - reveal it. like this... they get everyone hopes up so if they fail to deliver or even if the improvements are not as expected it will be devastating for them. it's not like they had anything to prove with it, the radeons are already quite competitive even without it.

tough decision...not all games are avaialbe. What I will be playing the most are big titles...(ex. BF4, Ghosts, GTA V, watch dogs etc.)

By the way for the GTX770 what do you prefer....Gigabyte, MSI, EVGA, Asus,

You can't go wrong with EVGA, lifetime warranty, great tech support.

so in performance they are all the same basically just faster than the reference. Although I really wanted the Nvidia, the Toxic seems like a great deal!!
