Im gonna buy a card for my birthday but I don't know if my supply (430W) is going to support it. Im currently looking at the GTX 760 and the R9 270X or the R9 280X but I don't know if my supply is good enough.

nope, this one ->http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027
supports over 30 amps on 12v rail, and have very good power output, and is very reliable, it is also enough watts for you.

tell me your entire setup actually then i can tell you if you need or not

The cx430 if thats what you own comes in 28 and 32 amp 12 v rail versions, the older one being the higher rated.
The overall watts rating from the card manufacturer is meaningless. If you want some headroom on your system, buy an xfx 550 pro psu, or a cx600.
The cx500 is so close to the cx600 in price its a pointless purchase. In the U.K., anyway.

Well, I have a Asus P8H61M-LX2 motherboard, a Intel Core i3 2120, a Asus Geforce GT640 2gb, 6gb RAM and a 430W power supply. I am not going to buy the 660 because Im not just a casual gamer, I play games like Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3 so I started to upgrade my PC. Does the Radeon R9 270X need a better power supply?
