so money was a little tight this Christmas for myself and I've been itching for an upgrade here for a little while, really wanted a 280x but a little out of my budget, cracked and just ordered a 270x.
I knew if I waited I would have never gotten anything in the end, but my question to you all is, was this really the right investment? it's a done deal now and I'm sure I'll see a nice improvement.
anyhow, what do you think I should upgrade next? my system is as follows.
-Phenom II x4 955 BE @ 3.2ghz
-Zalman Z9 Plus Mid Tower Case
-Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO cpu cooler
-2x4 GB Gskill Ripjaws @ 1333mhz (8GB total)
-Sapphire 6870 1GB (Sapphire R9 270x 2GB Dual-X on the way)
-2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm HDD
-Corsair CX-600 builder series PSU
-Biostar A770E3 AM3 Mobo (would have to scrap for a cpu upgrade)
what would you guys do with this system to breathe some new life into it?
thanks in advance! I like to hear other people's opinions.
p.s , a friend of mine just ordered a new SSD cache drive, any info on these?
preferably first hand experiences. it seems like an affordable way to improve general performance all round.
I mostly use my computer for gaming at 1080p, but it's pretty much my entire entertainment centre as far as music and movies/t.v goes.
