Hey, I'm looking to play bf4 on high settings with 60+ frames with maybe a little AA.
I'm just gonna add all my system specs, even the irrelevant ones.

CPU: FX;8320
Motherboard: AMD AM3 Gigabyte [GA-970A-D3P]
GPU: Gigabyte 7850 2gb OC
RAM: 8gb
PSU: 750W
Operating system: Windows 8 64bit

Note that the 7850 is the Gigabyte is the overclocked variant so I think it is a bit better than the stock 7850.

More about : run bf4

Not at 60+ FPS. I have the 7850 at 1050MHz core, and 1450MHz memory. I'm running with everything on medium except for Mesh Quality (I have a weak CPU), I have Antialiasing Deferred set to 2X MSAA, and I have Antialiasing Post set to low. I also have Ambient Occlusion turned off. That should get you 60+ FPS.

It should be better than the original, and you should be able play it on high for sure.

I'd expect 1920x1080 all AA off, a mix of medium/low settings, and occlusion set to ssao or off.

What about the Gigabyte 7870 OC? Will this giving me a great performance boost?

It will give you about a 5% performance increase.

I would say you would get quite a bit closer to high settings, but not fully. It would certainly offer more than a 5% increase. This benchmark is representing Ultra Settings, but it gives the best reference of how all cards stack up against one another:

As you can see, the 7870 offers over 15% better average framerates than the 7850. However, I suggest waiting until Mantle support is added to BF4 later this month, as it has the potential to squeeze a hell of a lot more performance out of GCN AMD cards such as the 7xxx and R9 2xx Series.

Hmm thanks everyone, I might just get a 7850 for now and upgrade to crossfireX down the path.
