I have a crap but useful PC which has a lot of problems, like BSODs, freezes and restarting randomly. However, these random problems would stop when 10 minutes or more are spent -without any problems- inside Windows, so it wasn't dead yet.
But these random restarts and BSODs were so annoying, so I started searching the cause of the BSODs and trying the solutions I found on Google (I didn't change any hardware). But instead of solving the problem, it became worse! I knew back then that the cause of the problem
is hardware related.

Anyway, the main problem begins here: PC restarted as usual, but it didn't beep this time (It did that a couple of times before but it beeped when I removed RAM stick, and the pc would work after several times of switching between RAM sticks), and I thought that it was the same annoying problem, and I was tired of this, so I took apart the motherboard and put water on a toothbrush and started cleaning it (I don't know why I did this actually XD but I read on a website that it's safe somehow). After that, I turned on the PC and I heard weird sounds coming from a fan, then I smelled something like burning near the CPU (most likely it's from the PSU), I tried to turn it off by the power button but it didn't work, so I turned it off by the socket switch. After two days maybe, I turned it on again and it runs without a smell, but no beep sounds, even when removing RAM or video card, and I tried to remove everything except motherboard, CPU and PSU, but it didn't beep. After that, I tried to clean the motherboard with an aftershave (because it worked with a washer machine) but it didn't work. On the other hand, the light of the PS/2 mouse and the light of the wireless LAN card are on...

I want to know the hardware that caused the no beep problem so I can remove it. It must be one of the three; PSU, motherboard and CPU. Any help will be much appreciated :) and sorry if it was too long.

I had a problem with a stick of ram one time where it would cause me to BSOD very often, removed it and ran for a solid 3 years after that fine. Also did you use distilled water to clean the motherboard, and how long did you wait to turn the system on after doing this?

But what about the burning smell?

@TheRealShoe: yeah I was thinking of buying a new ram. And I didn't use distilled water. I waited less than 30 or 20 minutes because I saw that it was dry enough

It's fried, if it's not, you must have some kind of super powers.

Bad news :(
But is there any possibility that the PSU is fried too? I don't want to buy a new mobo and the problem is still on

Oh and I forgot to mention that the pc sometimes turns off after 5 seconds of turning it on, then it turn on by itself again (This was before the problem).
