Hi everyone.I'm planning an AM3+ budget gaming build and I'v chosen the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2PT Motherboard to go along with my FX6300(BE) CPU and Sapphire Raedon HD7770 OC 1GB GDDR5.Is this motherboard good for the price?I chose this because this supported 1600 RAM out of the box without OC and very reasonable price of Rs.3300.It supports AM3+ out of the box and supports 8GB RAM(won't need more anyway, right?).Will I be able to overclock a little on this board? It only has SATA 3.0GBps so will it bottleneck anything(no SSDs)?Thanks for your advice! And I'm planning to use 1 cpy fan and 2 140mm and 1 120 mm case fans.

It is sufficient budget board but for good you will have to move into the 9xx series chipset boards. Not recommended for OC and Sata 3GB is fine for HDD but will bottleneck SATA 6GB SSD.

ssd-s run great even on sata 150 btw. i had one on an old dell laptop inspiron 1525 it was a great experience. (the sensation of speed of the ssd comes from access times / random transfer speeds not raw transfer speeds)

you could look for a 900 series motherboard. old these old ones support the fx cpu-s but are not built for them, the 760g also has an integrated graphics that you wont use.

I checked an unboxing vid on youtube and it does support am3+ without having to download drivers.I won't be buying an SSD anytime soon so SATA is no concern.Problem is,most 900 series motherboards are way more expensive. Those that aren't don't support 1600 speed RAM.
This mobo seems to support DDR3 1600 while nearly all other in its price range don't.Does it actually?

Anyway,I heard Gigabyte is good for OC.Is there a chance I can get even 1GHz of extra speed or is it not worth the risk since it'll probably cause complications?

Here you can see what the OC experts think about that board, Gigabyte makes good overclocking boards but they make budget none OC boards as well which is the category your board falls into https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgN1D79Joo...
GA-970A-UD3 or UD3P would be examples of OC boards from GB.
All the boards support 1600Mhz at least OC.

Ok,I checked and it does not support DDR3 1660.What does OC mean to motherboards anyway? Some of the ones I checked support 1600@OC.What does that mean? The list you posted is very useful but most of those are not available here.So I'll just put the requirements to see if there is one under Rs.4500/80-90 USD:
Supports DDR3 1600
Pre-installed drivers for AM3+
Does not need SATA 3GBps/USB 3.0/CrossFire

1600 or higher notified as OC, means that natively it will not run that fast but will support it if the speed and timings are inserted in BIOS manually or if both BIOS and ram support overclocking profile like Intels XMP.
This is a better board for OC http://www.flipkart.com/gigabyte-ga-78lmt-usb3-motherbo...

But will OCing RAM cause problems? And will it perform good with it OCed to 1600?I'm asking you this because flipkart's info is almost always wrong. Will it good enough for gaming? And no bottlenecks without SSDs with the graphics card and processor I mentioned.

Ok,I think DDR3 1600 will be too high.So I have to choose between OC 1333 RAM on the USB3 mobo or standard 1333 on the non OC mobo.Is the extra money worth it if I buy the OC 78LMT USB3.0?

Yes the USB3 board is worth it over the other, ram speed is not a big issue in overall performance of the computer so any 1333 will work fine.
