My answer depends on what your needs are:

1. VirtualBox for office applications and non-demanding Windows tasks

2. Xen for runing a Windows guest with VGA passthrough - for Windows gaming, GPU and CPU intensive Windows applications - see http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=112013 and http://www.overclock.net/t/1205216/guide-create-a-gamin...

3. KVM for the same as 2, with better hardware compatibility with Nvidia graphics cards when using latest Linux kernel. This requires you to get your hands "dirty" and do some compilation. See https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=162768
