I am planning to buy a video card is said it require 500w and i have a psu of 750w

There isn't any single-GPU video card that uses anywhere near 500W on its own. 500W is nothing more than the GPU manufacturer's recommendation of what PSU rating you should have based on the average PSU available on the market.

If you had to choose a PSU based on true component power draw, a high quality 400W PSU would already be overkill for most single-GPU systems.
