Integrated Graphics Questions Please

Does Integrated Graphics on a CPU mean that I do not need a graphics card? Will such a CPU require a special motherboard with monitor connectors? Are such CPUs slower than CPUs without the graphics integrated? Thanks. This is the item I am looking at:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116901

Integrated graphics (iGPU) simply means you do not necessarily need to buy a graphics card for basic stuff like watching HD video. You can add a graphics card anytime you want as long as the motherboard as a PCI-e slot for the graphics card.

If you want to play games, then it is recommended you install a graphics card. The iGPU does not affect the performance of the CPU. The i7-4770k is a great CPU, but if the primary use is for games, then you are better off buying the i5-4670k instead because games do not really make use of Hyper Threading which the i7 has but the i5 does not.

You can use your CPU intergrated graphics instead of a dedicated graphics card. It's no where near as powerful, but if you only browse the net and watch videos etc then it's more than adaquate. It does require the motherboard to have a VGA, DVI or HDMI port for intergrated graphics. Most do as standard though. No, there's no difference in speed. The intergrated graphics processor is a seperate component but on the same processor chip, so it's use is irrelivent to CPU speed.

Yep. With an iGPU you do not need to buy a graphics card. It is fine for everyday use. You only need to buy a graphics card if you plan on playing games or doing 3D rendering.

Actually, the Intel HD 4600 is capable of playing some non graphics demanding games. It does not sound like you are using it to play games though.
