Hey Everyone,

This is my first time building a computer and I just recently purchased all the components in preparation to put the rig together. The thing is I just realized my case has 4 fans stock and then I have my heatsink that I bought for the CPU. I thought I purchased a relatively high end mobo (Asus Maximus VI Hero) but now I see it says only 1 CPU fan connector and 3x chassis fan connectors. What am I going to do to be able to get the extra fan powered on with the rest of the rig?

More about : issue motherboard case

This isnt a massive issue at all, is it? Did I not make a good decision on the mobo? And those adaptors you linked would connect the fans of the chassis to the PS?

Yes they will connect to the power supply. You should have a bunch of unused 4 pin molex connectors coming off your PSU.

If I read it correctly for the Z87 board:
1 x CPU fan connectors for smart DC/PWM mode control
1 x CPU optional fan connector
3 x Chassis fan connectors
