i5 or i7 processor

ht really almostly makes no differnce so i5 4670k wins. And iceclock ht has never been really good i owned ht cpus since the p4 time and ht never really gave me more then a 5% performance boost in applications and i have used that p4 machine till like 2 months ago dialy because i liked it. i find the i5 4670k being the clear win

well the 4770k is faster in games at stock and overclocked, and once games utilize ht will be a different ball game.
yes the 4670k is a better value. but whynot futureproof if u can afford it, and if u ever need it for encoding or video editing comes in handy.

Depends, if you are going to do lots of rendering videos or stuff like that go with the i7, but otherwise just get the i5 and spend that extra 100$ to spend on a better GPU. In my opinion the only advantage of the i7 is the Hyperthreading which is rarely used during gaming, also just plain ol bragging rights.
