550ti on 500 watt Cheap PSU

I really want 550 ti for gaming bercause they dont break the bank and there fairly good for gaming my specs as listed:
AMD Phenom 955 Black Editon 3.2 quad
120gb Kingston SSD for os and a few games
12gb ddr3 dominator
a 2tb WD hard drive
my psu is a cheap one of ebay link :

Can i use a 550ti or a 7770?

Never skimp on a PSU! (sometimes it can be deadly!) These PSU's may state this power but in most cases, they are giving out awful output. I recommend that you buy a PSU with a thing called '80 plus bronze'. These PSUs have been tested and give adequate output at high loads. Here are a few very good PSUs:

I would suggest using that PSU at all. Its low quality garbage and only has a single 18a 12v rail which is just absolutely horrible. Nvidia recommends atleast 24a on the 12v rail for a 550ti. 19a for the HD7770. By using a PSU like that you put the rest of the components in the system at risk of being damaged.
