hello i have been facing this problem since a while:
I have a Western Digital Elemnts 1 TB USB3.0 External HDD. I got lot of important data from my old computer and dad's documents aswell.

Now i got some stuff of like 7 GB ( 2 - 3 files ) which i was unable to copy paste into my PC from HDD.
So i thought of doing CHKDSK (check disk from properties aswell cmd ) , but it get struck at some file index like 15489 in 4th stage/5 ..
I also tried Parition master tool to do surface test which aswell got struck on some stage of like 4%
I waited for while like half an hour and even more , still no change happened so i aborted the processes.

also in HD Tune i got this warning.

I did a full error scan using this aswell but it got struck at some point too..

the hdd is 500gb full out of 1tb
i need some serious help regarding this
thanks in advance.
