Hi there,

I currently have the razer lycosa keyboard. Huge mistake, it jams up and keeps typing the same key untill i unplug it, and plug it back in, this has happened for a year now. The keys also feel quite heavy to press sometimes and others, not responsive, i play Battlefield 4 a lot and find that because my keys aren't responsive i die quite a lot.
I am currently looking to replace this keyboard with this:
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...

I hear that cherry mx red switches are lightweight and responsive so good for gaming, but seeing as i am still in school i'd need the keyboard to be able to be used for typing long essays. Im just not sure if i should go with Cherry Red, or Cherry Black as i've never owned a mechanical keyboard before and i don't want to waste more money on a keyboard i wont like.

Any helpful links or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I recommend Cherry MX reds. I personally own a Corsiar K90 and it feels great, both for essays and gaming :)  I do recommend the K95 for fully mechanical keys though :)  If you cannot afford it, then the K70 works great or the Steelseries 6GV2. The keyboard you mentioned is also a great buy though.

Thankyou for your answer, as silly as it sounds, i just want the Blue LEDs as my whole build is blue leds because why not :p  I think i'll grab this one i mentioned, but do you happen to know how much pressure is needed to push the lycosa keys? Can't find it anywhere.

One model of the K70 has blue LEDS and the k90 is backlit with Blue as the main and macro keys are white.
