Whats the most reliable method in wiping a hard drive? (Just restored to an image of its factory settings because I was experiencing random shut downs from Nvidias 331.82 drivers) I want to do this in order to remove any conflicting problems between my SSD (OS) and Hard Drive (files)

DBan? Parted Magic? Or should I just right click reformat?
Also, while the computer was performing its restore I had the HDD in. Will this be an issue?

Restoring the image wiped it. Full format it if your not sure if your image was sector or file based. A sector image would rewrite every sector on the drive to the way it was while a file based one only writes the files that were there and leaves the unused sectors they way they were leaving possibly recoverable data in them.
