Hi guys, first time ever to post on a forum, so please excuse any mistakes.

I have recently set up a raid 0 array and since iv'e been having stutter problems in games, wasn't a problem before raid 0. Both audio and video stutter, and it is not limited to game-play it happens during cinematics as well.

Could this be the raid array or is it something else?

I would make sure you have the correct drivers installed and verify with a latency checker (DPC Latency Checker comes to mind) that you dont have some other issue going on first.

How did you make the raid? If its motherbd or hardware please post the specs. You can also create a stripe raid thru windows 7/8 but I'm not sure of the performance impact of those pure software implementations.

Using DPC Latency Checker and closing individual programs I found that it was hwinfo causing the stutter, with it closed everything is running smooth again.

Any idea why it didn't cause any problems in the past?

Thanks for recommending DPC Latency Checker.
