Laptop is a HP 650

After getting my laptop back from the shop after a screen replacement, I realised that the screen would stay black until log in.

I searched the net and found a few guides to eliminate the potential problems and decided to enter safe mode via msconfig.

After doing so and restarting my laptop, I realised that I had put it in permanent safe mode and the screen is now constantly black, it's a dead screen.

I've tried hdmi and vga cables but no success.

I remember using the hdmi cable when the laptop was in fine working order and it wouldn't show the bios start up.

This lead me to conclude that it's the laptop screen cable not being compatible with the New screen.

I am a novice, but please correct me if I am wrong.

Is there anything I can do to take it out of permanent safe mode? Like I said, the screens basically dead. No cursor or anything and keys don't work at all for bios.

I will be taking it back to the shop to get cable and screen sorted.

Greatly appreciated if anyone could help/advise me. Sorry for the long haul.

Kind regards,

Ryan.
