Hi all,

So recently I wanted to start bitcoin mining, and as outrageous as I may sound, I am trying to do it with an O/C'ed MSi GTX 560Ti Twin Frozr II 2Gb. So I need some help on choosing which pool to join (pro's and con's preferably). I am trying to make the most profit within 1000 Days of initial investment. Can someone please explain which pool and if I should mine for bitcoins or litecoins?

Thanks,

You won't make any money doing either. The difficulty level for bitcoin mining is far too high now for graphics card rigs to do it, let alone single graphics cards. As for Litecoins, only AMD graphics cards get decent hash rates. Your old Nvidia card will net you hardly anything.

If you pay for your electricity it's not even worth looking at with your setup, if you don't pay for it you could try www.liteguardian.com. Although, don't expect much.

With the amount of power you would need for any of those the cons out weight the pros. Although you could do folding and the power your computer has would go to a good cause granted you aren't gaming of course.

It's up to you how much you will risk in mining. I actually find it good to trade more than increasing the electricity cost. Honestly, Litecoin is the latest venture for now. Its target time for new block is faster than Bitcoin, about 2.5 minutes instead of Bitcoin's 10 minutes.
