I just got an Antec Kuhler H20 650 and it has pre-applied thermal paste. When installing I had minimal room to work with in my case and the heat sink ended up slipping off a few times before I got the first 2 screws loosely tightened. Did i completely screw it or is it going to work fine? Also there is a slight amount on the CPU clamp (z87 with 4670k) is that a huge deal?

Super screwed. Hopefully you haven't turned anything on yet. What ends up happening is, just messing with you. It's probably fine. Check out your temps. Do they seem unusually high? Is core temp significantly different than case temp? If it seems to be doing the job you'll be ok. If things seem messed up just un-install, clean off the old thermal paste and apply your own. The pre applied is just for convenience.

Dude you had me going. Jesus My heartbeat just went crazy. My temps are sitting about 22 degrees C at idle which is ~ 1 to 2 degrees above ambient. Haven't had the chance to do any stress testing but if it is doing that well idle I think it will be okay?

Yeah just continue to monitor your temps under load and if it still looks good you're golden.
