Hey guys, well I bought a HD 6950 graphics card from newegg during black friday. But i realized at max load the card draws 300w+, and I'm scrypt mining so it will be at load. The thing being is I have a HD 7850 in my system already, but I have 600w PSU, a GS600 to be exact. If I have both cards in my system at load, would it hold up? The reason I ask is iff it doesn't work I have one of 2 options, sell the extra card, or buy a bigger psu. I haven't opened the gpu yet either because of I can rma with newegg.

let's see..

well, a system equipped with
Processor Intel Core i7-3960X @ 4.3GHz
Motherboard EVGA X79 SLI
Disk Drives Samsung 470 (256GB) + 1TB Samsung HD103SJ (Media Storage),
Memory G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3-1867 4 x 4GB (8-10-9-26)

only consume 289 watt for total power consumption while gaming..

mean while 6950 consume 158 watt while full load..

let's do some math..289+156 = 445 watt..

so, your 600w psu is more than enough to run your system..and you still have a plenty headroom..
