How to fully configure the SSD?

I've seen different videos on how to configure brand new SSDs and then installing windows OS on it. I recently bought an Intel 530 180GB SSD. When you first enter BIOs, do you enable ACHI or RAID? What is the difference? And is there specific location where I install my drivers; SSD or HDD?

Enable AHCI and install your drivers to your ssd when on windows. RAID is for multiple drives that work together to improve speed so if you have say 2x crucial m4's you would be able to RAID Them together

What if I have the SSD along with my WD 1TB Black HDD?

You would not be able to RAID them as they are not the same drive but just install your operating system, drivers and fequently used programs on the SSD and all your other files on the WD 1TB Black
