Can you Re-use Windows on a new PC Build?

hey, i currently have a standard HP Pavilion PC with windows 7 but i am going to be making a new build,

i was wondering if i could still use the same HDD and windows 7 from my current pc with my new build?

or would i have to buy a new windows?

maybe. Some have done it and have had no problems but most likely you will get driver conflicts that will cause you headaches. the other thing will be windows it self might need to be reactivated do to all the hardware changes.
