I've put together a new system and can't get through Win7 setup. Main components:
GA-F2A88XN-WIFI MB
AMD A10-5800K
Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB
LG Black 14x BD-R
8GB RAM
First, it takes a very long time (unusually long) to get to install windows screen. Then I get a message saying that I'm missing CD/DVD driver, I assume setup is looking for SATA drivers. I've picked them up (win 7 x64) from gigabyte site, put them on USB, and pointed setup to those drivers but it still complains that no drivers are found.
Correction, after pointing setup to the AHCI drivers for win7 64, it does accept them but after a short while it says "no new devices can be found, ...". I can see my HDD in BIOS setup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

After loading BIOS defaults again and selecting UEFI version of the BlueRay drive, as presented in the boot menu (F12 for this MB), I've managed to get the OS installed.

I have exactly the same problem as you had, trying to install Windows 7 64-bit on the same motherboard with an A10-6800K APU, but the loading BIOS defaults unfortunately didn't change a thing for me. I had used the drivers from the black Gigabyte driver disc (ver.1.3) from the folder \BootDrv\Hw7_A88, in the way they describe in the user's manual. So I hit the problem and found your post in Google.

Then I tried a BIOS update from F2 to F4b, loaded BIOS defaults, no luck. Then I downloaded the latest SATA AHCI drivers from the Gigabyte website, still no luck.

So yes, now I'm the one in great need of help :-/ It's kind of weird that no one else seems to have this problem. Or otherwise they are not writing about it :)

UPDATE - SOLUTION: the reason was that I was using an external USB dvd-drive. When I connected an internal SATA dvd-drive and used that one instead, the Windows 7 setup process didn't ask for any drivers whatsoever.

To anyone who gets this problem. It's the USB 3.0 port that doesn't work. Put your Windows 7 installation disk on a USB 2.0 slot and you'll be fine.

I was going crazy, but the last post solved my problems. I'm installing from an USB-drive, putting it in the USB 2.0 on the back of the computer solved to problem. Yeah!
