I know i'm not in the right category but I don't see any category on the list that a mouse question would fit. I have usb mouse that I recently pulled out of storage and plugged it in to my computer it works briefly for about 30 seconds and then stops working altogether. I have gone though all the basic troubleshooting steps like cleaning the laser sensor with alcohol and a q-tip, updating all the lastest drivers(the mouse is now discontinued so drivers may not be the most current I dont know for sure though), checking registry values, and using the mouse on different surfaces to see if it is a tracking issue, all which have not worked. I tried to use the mouse on my laptop which is running Windows 7 same as my desktop and it seems to have the same problems I have experienced on my desktop.
