How to hook up a 5.1 surround sound to a desktop computer??

Hi i have a surround sound with four speakers and two subwoofers and i only have a green jack and a pink jack, how can u hooking it up to a desktop? My desktop model is HP 110-194 PC.

You need to buy a PCI sound card that supports a 5.1 speaker system.

thanks, so i need to take off the original sound card of my desktop and install a PCI sound card, right?

If there is already a removable sound card inside your PC, yes you must remove it.

If, however, the existing sound adapter is a chip integrated on the motherboard (on-board sound), you won't be able to remove it. In that case you need to disable it in BIOS Setup otherwise you'll get a resource conflict between the integrated sound chip & your new sound card.
