i need graphics to render 3d

this computer has G33/G31 chipset family in it.....what can i upgrade to that will handle heavy 3d graphics? I know I will have to get a new power supply. Mother board is a PSK-VM. Processor is Intel Core 2 Duo E4500. Hope this is what you need for info. That could be a P5K rather than an S , is so small i cant make it out.

for Second Life, you want to throw as much GPU as you can. A Core 2 Duo is an aging processor, so it will bottleneck a top level card.

I'd suggest a HD 7870 2 GB card, and a 500W PSU from Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, or XFX

Secondlife will not do well on your CPU. I have a E6700 which is a higher clocked version and I get spikes of 100% CPU usage and lag.
Another thing that it loves is RAM. The more the better.
