Hey everyone! I'm building my new rig and I was confused whether to buy Windows 8 or Windows 7. I have heard that Windows 8 suffers from mouse lag in games like BF3 and compatibility issues. Also there are issues while playing online. Is this true? Thanks in advance for your input!

Well there are some mouse lag issues, but there are fixes to most. I think windows 8 is good for 6-8 core processors, because it utilizes more cores.
If you have quad core i would stick with windows 7, but i heard on some articles that BF4 plays smoother on the windows 8.

They're about almost the same, but a few benchmarks say BF4 is slightly faster in terms of fps on windows 8. And the boot time for windows 8 is much faster. Mouse patch came out with windows 8.1

I'm thinking about a quad core processor (Intel i5). My father suggests I go for Windows 8 as he doesn't want to buy an OS which is one generation old. However, I say that according to what I've heard, it is a bad OS for gaming. As a whole, would you that the overall experience in gaming would be better in Win 8 or Win 7?

Well windows 8 does have faster boot time, and it uses less ram. So i think windows 8 is better as a whole.
Ive also heard that there will be windows 8.2 patch next year. You may not like the windows 8 interface but there are application to make seem more like windows 7.

I have played Cs:GO on my win 8 computer and 30GB ram just isn't enough.
