tell me what is diff bet apu quad core a8 and intel i3 3rd gen

The quad core apu, has four physical cores, amounting to four threads. The i3 is a dual core cpu that also has an additional two virtual cores, amounting to four threads. They both have integrated graphics, but Radeon graphics are better than intel's integrated offering in this regard.
Other than that there is processor speed. The i3 will probably outperform the A8 in most single and multi-threaded applications.
The APU's from AMD i find are better for home theater computers that can be used for light gaming. The i3's are more for budget gaming PCs where you're going to be using a discrete graphics card.
