Hello ,
A couple of days ago while I was on my computer a blue screen with white letters appeared and the pc shut down. After that whenever I'm trying to boot up the pc itself does boot up but it doesnt recognize the screen meaning I cant do anything on it but it does also not recognize my keyboard , mouse (light on keyboard and mouse stay off )and any other device ive tryied to connect to it like my phone. It is an hp pavilion m9000 running windows 7 32 bit. It has 4 gb of ram, a saphire 7770 ghz edition graphics card amd chipset clocked at 1 ghz. The processor is an intel core 2 quadcore Q6600 clocked at 2.4 ghz and the power supply is a 650w if that helps. Unfortunately I dont know much about the motherboard but it is the one that came pre installed.

More about : recognizing device

In a an hp pavilion m9000.

Has a propriety, custom motherboard, what it basically means is it was most likely made to fit in the model range of the pavilion towers.

The board is made to accommodate the size and design of the case.
To be honest the quality of the boards are not that great, because company's like Hp do this to keep costs down.
The same can be said for the power supplys they use in some of there systems again due to cost.

I have to be honest with you since it is a pre built system.
Check to see if it is still under warranty and return it back to Hp for repair.

It looks to me as if the power supply has in some way caused a surge due to a fault, and in the process damaged the chip set of the board that controls Usb ports ect.

It may of also damaged the graphics card if the case.

Unfortunately it isnt under warranty anymore. Everything in the pc is the preinstalled hardware except the graphics card and the power supply which I changed out. Maybe I ll have to buy a new pc because I ve had this for a lot of years and I dont think its worth it spending money to repair it....
