Hey guys,

Currently I'm looking into several components to build a new PC and i'd like some advice on certain parts. there are two main reasons why i'm building this computer; I need to have a system where I can run several VMware stations simultaneously as well as for the occasional gaming.

I've read loads of posts and comments about the pros and cons of going for a sk775 or sk1150 and I've made my mind to go with the latter. Costs, to a certain extend, do not matter since I wish to build a PC that can withstand the next 3 to 5 years performance wise.

The components I'm looking into are:

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H
CPU: Intel i7 4770k 3.5GHz 8mb
Cooler: something slightly above stock but definitely not water cooling. (not important since I do not plan to OC anytime soon)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance CL10 PC1600 - now i'm not sure if i should go for 16GB or 32GB. I've read that some people find issues performance wise with 32Gb and prefer 16GB. I'd like to get advice about this matter and if I should maybe go for a faster clock speed or a different family than Vengeance.
HDD/SSD: the usual combo of a Samsung 256GB SSD and a WD 1TB black HDD
VGA: Nvidia EVGA GTX770 SC 4GB
PSU: OCZ Modxstream Pro 700W

If you think something is out of place and especially have any help regarding the RAM issue i'd be thankful.

All and any help is deeply appreciated.

Thanks

16 GB of ram is more than enough, except if you are doing extreme simultaneous video and photo editing. 1600 mHz is also more than enough, but if you REALLY want to get more frequency, get 1866 mHz (even though you won't notice much of a difference). For a good cooler, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is a really good and quiet CPU cooler. :bounce:
