new gaming computer built need oc help and advice please

hi everyone i just finished building my gaming machine and need help on best oc steps in hd ,video and mods i would appreciate any feedback im new to oc .my system is a Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (with samsung pro ssd 512 hd ,16 gig of ram g skill DDR3 2400.vapor x 7970 oc version with the oc button and asus p8777ws. the power supply is 1000w corsair gold

I'm not here to help (that sounds weird) because I don't know enough about GPU OC, leave alone CPU OC which can be hazardous if done incorrectly. My main purpose for posting is why trying to OC with the capabilities your rig already offers? Now I know there's the famous "k" on your i7 but hey, it's enough power.
Now before doing anything you must make sure you have good cooling systems and go step by step in OCing. Maybe take a look around in Google. Pretty sure there are plenty of guides for OCing.
