Hi- I have just lost access to a customer's machine - HP Envy 4-1101

I cannot 'see' either drive (I have pulled the spinner and it is fine on my reference machine and win7 'installs' on the ssd but disappears when rebooting) and my software doesn't help - Acronis, Part Magic, DBAN, ERD all fail to 'see' the drives.

To compound the issue: If I try to use the 32GB usb drive provided with the laptop (from MS via HP) it asks for measures (in the BIOS) that options do not exists for.

All (yeah, I know) I need are the device drivers so my installs and recovery usbs can recognize the drive(s).

I have been chasing drivers for customers and self builds for over 20 years. I cannot (at the moment) find jack to fix this problem, HP 'support' is unresponsive and I have a deadline - was it ever thus?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Thanks lonewolf7 but the drives (mSATA 60GB Samsung and 500GB Hitachi) are both fine.

The problem lies with drivers for the raid and mSATA not being 'signed' by MS and during install it tells you that and this is probably my problem.

I can force the drive(s) to boot by using the option in Hiren's CD - the system then goes into 'Setting up' for ever.

Thanks again.
